While it seemed like it was never going to get here, the end of this university semester is not far away at all. The crazy thing about realizing that this semester is winding down to end is knowing that once it does, I will have six semesters successfully completed, which means that I will be over halfway done with my time at university. After this semester is over, I will be heading back home to spend my summer living with my parents in the house I grew up in. A lot of people don’t like going back to live with their parents, but since I know this is just a temporary phase, I’m excited about getting to eat all of the great food my Mom loves to cook.
Although I am acting like this semester is already over, the truth is that I still have to take all of my final examinations before I can leave for the summer. In spite of the fact that I have several buddies who are absolutely dreading the prospect of taking their final examinations, I have already put in a lot of time studying, so I couldn’t feel any better about my own. As an incentive to finish the semester on a strong note, I have made plans for something that will happen once summer gets started. In conjunction with my buddy, after moving back to London, the two of us will be picking up a Tower Bridge car hire that is reserved in my name. Our purpose in reserving a Tower Bridge car hire is to use it for a week to take a road trip that we have planned out. I decided to take this friend with me on the road trip because we always have a great time together, and I know we are going to have a blast being out on the open road with each other.

If you have opened a newspaper or turned on your television during the last month, then I don’t have to tell you that the number on topic onevery one’s mind seems to be the swine flu virus. Once people started to realize that swine flu was killing people throughout Mexico, they started to get much more worried about the potential implications of this virus spreading. Even though people are still worried about the fact that the H1N1 virus continues to spread, it has not caused the same level of deaths that it did in Mexico anywhere else in the world. I wanted to highlight this fact about the H1N1 virus, because for reasons unknown to me, people continue to be extremely worried about this virus continuing to spread around the world. While I find it strange that there is still such a high level of worry about swine flu, a lot of nations are still taking steps to try and lessen the fears of their citizens.
Even though it doesn’t seem like the concerns over the H1N1 virus are going anywhere soon, I am still planning on taking a vacation this summer. I already planned on taking a trip to London in the middle of the summer, and I’m not going to let this swine flu issue deter me from visiting London (which is a place I have wanted to go for awhile now). In addition to booking my flight and hotel room, I have already reserved a Tower Bridge car hire, so there’s no way I am going through the process of canceling all of those reservations. The one reason that I don’t think I will actually have to worry about canceling my trip is because by the time it actually arrives, I bet the news media will have something new to make people worry about more than swine flu!
